What's your greatest strength? You've already written a strong answer to each — three forms ago, in a textarea you'll never see again.

A senior search means dozens of applications, and the freeform questions are where the time goes. Contact details autofill. Your résumé attaches. But the prose — the part that actually represents you — gets rewritten from scratch every time, usually late at night, usually worse than the version you wrote when you were fresh.

The answer bank fixes that. The first time you write a good answer, you save it. Every form after that, the same question pre-fills with your own words — the version you were happy with — ready to tweak instead of rebuild.

This isn't an AI writing tool. It does not generate answers, paraphrase you, or invent experience. It replays the exact wording you already approved, so what lands on the form is always yours.

How it works

The answer bank lives in your Job Seeker OS workspace and fills through the Chrome extension while you apply.

• You write the first answer by hand. On a real application form — Greenhouse, Lever, Workday — you answer a custom question in your own words, the way you always would.
• You save it on purpose. Click Save my answers in the side panel. The extension re-reads the form and shows you exactly what it's about to keep — each freeform answer, each new contact field — so you choose every item. Nothing is saved silently, and nothing is tied to clicking Submit.
• It matches the question, not just the keywords. Each saved answer is filed under a normalized version of the question text. The next form that asks the same thing — even phrased a little differently — finds it.
• The next form pre-fills. An exact question match is filled in and pre-accepted. A close match is offered as a suggestion, with the original question shown, so you confirm it transfers before it goes in.
• It compounds. The more forms you fill, the more the next one fills itself. Every saved answer is one less textarea you start from zero.

What it saves — and what it never touches

The answer bank is for the freeform questions that carry your voice. It deliberately stays away from anything sensitive.

• Saved: the open-ended application questions you answer in prose — motivation, behavioral "tell us about a time," strengths, and similar custom fields you choose to keep.
• Also captured (separately, with your review): practical facts forms keep asking for that aren't on a résumé — work authorization, notice period, how you heard about the role — stored as reusable application defaults.
• Never captured: EEO and demographic self-identification (gender, race, veteran, disability), date of birth, government ID, passwords, and payment fields. These are stripped from the scan before you ever see the save list — they can't enter your answer bank.
• Never auto-submitted: the extension fills and saves only on your explicit click. It never presses Apply, Submit, or Next for you.

Your answers stay yours

• It replays you, not a model. Matching is local and deterministic — no answer is sent to an AI to be rewritten at fill time. The text on the form is the text you saved.
• You own the library. Every saved answer is viewable, editable, and deletable in your workspace under Job Search Profile → Application details. Edit the wording once and the better version is what reuses next time.
• It's private. Answers are stored under your own account with per-user isolation, exactly like the rest of your profile, and are never sold or sent to third-party analytics.

Why a bank beats a doc

Most people already have an "answers" document somewhere — a Google Doc they copy-paste from. The bank wins on the two things the doc can't do.

• It comes to the form. No tab-switching, no scrolling a doc to find the right paragraph, no pasting into the wrong box. The matching answer surfaces on the field that asked for it.
• It improves itself. Each time you refine an answer, the bank keeps the latest version and reuses that — so your library gets sharper across a search instead of drifting into stale copies.

Frequently asked questions

What is an application answer bank? A personal, reusable store of the answers you write into job application forms — the freeform questions like "why do you want to work here" or "tell us about a time you…". You save an answer once, and Job Seeker OS pre-fills it the next time a form asks the same question.

Does it write answers for me with AI? No. The answer bank reuses your own prior wording. It does not generate, paraphrase, or fabricate answers — matching is deterministic, so what fills the form is exactly what you saved.

How does it know which saved answer to use? Each answer is filed under a normalized version of the question text. An exact match to a new form's question is filled in and pre-accepted; a close match is offered as a suggestion with the original question shown, so you confirm it transfers before it's used.

Does it submit applications automatically? Never. It fills fields and saves answers only when you click, and it never presses Submit, Apply, or Next. Submitting is always your action on the page.
